Tank Specifications and Construction

Standard tanks are cylindrical, constructed using galvanised steel sheets measuring 2.9 meters in length and 1.14 meters in height. Sheet thickness ranges between 1.5 mm and 3 mm, depending on the tank's overall size. Tank diameters vary from 3 meters up to 31 meters, with corresponding heights adjusted to accommodate volumes ranging from 9 cubic meters to over 5,000 cubic meters.

The tanks are manufactured from mill-galvanised steel and undergo a hot-dip galvanising process that deposits a zinc coating of 450 gsm for enhanced protection. On-site assembly involves using lap joints secured with galvanised silo bolts. The tank shell is anchored to a concrete base via pre-rolled galvanised angles, clamps, and parabolts, while a stiffening angle reinforces the tank's top edge. Each tank includes a roof cover, a galvanised access ladder and platform, as well as inlet and outlet connections.

Innovative Liners for Safe Storage

Water Tank India integrates a specialized geomembrane liner inside every tank to prevent direct contact between the stored liquid and the steel structure. The standard liner is certified safe for drinking water and can also accommodate various other liquids. For storing fuels, industrial fluids, and chemicals, custom liners are available upon consultation with the sales team. These liners are manufactured using high-frequency welding techniques to ensure seamless joints and water tightness. Additionally, the liners are UV-resistant and inhibit the growth of algae, mold, and fungi, ensuring clean and hygienic storage.

Every Water Tank India system includes a standard external level meter to monitor liquid levels. Optional digital and manual pulley-type meters can be provided on request for enhanced measurement accuracy.
